Alexia joined Colina International School in 2026 as a Learning Designer. She holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Psychological Counselling and Human Development Interventions from Babeș-Bolyai University.
Her previous experience includes two years as a student researcher in a cognitive neuroscience laboratory, where she learned to wonder about how minds and bodies work together, and time in a kindergarten as a student practitioner in educational psychology and as a shadow teacher. There she stood beside children through big emotions and tricky moments, adapting activities so that every child could take part and feel proud of themselves. Inspired by the embodiment of cognition, she believes children think with their whole bodies: with their hands in the soil, their feet on the move, and their senses wide open. For Alexia, the most magical part of her work is the moment a child discovers something new, and being close enough to share it.
Outside the classroom, Alexia is happiest in nature, with a book in her hands or music in the background. She crochets little characters who sometimes wander into the children’s stories, and she brings the same gentleness, curiosity, and playfulness to her crew every day.
